Master Jones, along with other great martial artists such as Bruce Lee, is a member of the Black Belt Hall of Fame. He was inducted four times: as Instructor of the Year in 1996, as Honored Guest in 1998, and as Outstanding Contributor to the Martial Arts in 2000 and 2001. He has over 41 years experience in the martial arts and has been teaching for over 31 years. He has studied over 14 different styles of martial arts, including Okinowan, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean styles. He holds 8 different black belts: two First Degree, a Second Degree, two Third Degree, two Forth Degree, and a Fifth Degree, plus a Master Degree in Tae Kwon Do, and one from the World Karate Union Hall of Fame.

 

 

He is a five-time World Champion in weapons and traditional Tae Kwon Do forms. He has earned the coveted award of Grand Champion in State, National, and International competitions. He won Competitor of the Year nine times and placed first in all categories; three of the nine titles were consecutive. Master Jones has won over 310 Championships. He was undefeated for 11 years in Worldwide Tae Kwon Do forms competitions. He has won 9 silver cups and 42 medals, 12 of which were Gold. Master Jones has been recognized worldwide by Masters and Grandmasters for his teaching accomplishments and his unparalleled loyalty and dedication to the Martial Arts.Master Jones has numerous honorary awards from Kukkiwon, the world governing body of Tae Kwon Do. He was also honored by being chosen to present a demonstration for the Korean Ambassador.


Master Jones is actively involved in the local community. He is the President of M.A.A.D. (Martial Artists Against Drugs), the largest organization of its kind in the world. He has contributed time and money to many charitable organizations including the Children's Diabetic Association, St. Jude's Children's Research Foundation, the Police Activity League, and drug abuse education and rehabilitation programs. He has received more than 100 awards and commendations in connections with this work, including one signed by the President of the United States. One of his most precious is from NARCON (Narcotics Anonymous) for his work in helping to build a drug - free future.

Master Jones plays himself in the 1992 action movie Weapon of Choice. He has been featured on television and in many magazines. He shares the cover of an issue of Black Belt Magazine with the great Bruce Lee. This issue featured an article about Master Jones' unparalleled skill with the double nunchucks.

Master Jones continues to personally teach all his classes. His youngest student is 3 1/2 years old, his oldest 72. No one is turned away from his dojang (studio). He embraces the economically, physically, and mentally challenged. Master Jones is renowned for his skill in teaching students with dyslexia and or A.D.D (Attention Deficit Disorder) and other learning complications
